With a degree in Art-Interior Design, my years of design and creative sewing have culminated
in artwork inspired by the nostalgia of years gone by. As a fiber artist, stitches are placed and fabric layered in respect of pioneer women who used every scrap of fabric they could save.
My work honors the mothers, grandmothers, and descendants

in artwork inspired by the nostalgia of years gone by. As a fiber artist, stitches are placed and fabric layered in respect of pioneer women who used every scrap of fabric they could save.
My work honors the mothers, grandmothers, and descendants who embellished simple linens to enhance their interiors and lives. History and life stories are dreamt and shared in my art blog as scenes are created. Buttons, woolens and embellishments are selected from loved one’s collections gathered throughout their lives.
As you traverse this website over time, my quilting arts and art blog will ebb and flow like waves crashing to shore. Navigating the usual challenges of life and disappointments of arthritis, my creativity fuels a stubbornness to persevere. When I must rest, I spend time in nature absorbing it’s grandeur and tiniest gifts. This tug of war
This tug of war feels as though I will never be able to complete enough work before I run out of time.
“I know I will leave my work unfinished. I just hope I planted enough seeds in my children and grandchildren that they will continue.” D. Robins
